an excellent column. I want to write some shit talk, but it was very balanced and fun to read. I mean, i could resort to playground tactics and say something lame like "if you love Te'o so much, why don't you marry him," but i've never met your wife, and i've already lobbied you to pray to god for my beloved oakland athletics in order to save your baby girl from the pole, so, um....GREAT JOB. i like the way you pretend that Hawaii is a real place for real people, as opposed to a vacation destination full of drunken foreigners looking to get "lai-ed."

@Anonymous: All in good fun and the best part is, there's no point in retaliating. Making fun of Punahou is like shooting fish in a barrel. I mean, the Buffanblu???!?!?! It'd be the worst nickname ever if it wasn't so laughably, pretentiously appropriate.

In response to your question, Manti has narrowed his list to Stanford, USC, UCLA, BYU and Notre Dame. (And you wonder why the Irish were so excited to come to the Hawaii Bowl...) Personally, I hope he goes to Stanford and gets himself an education. It would be incredibly conflicting for Hawaii fans if he went to BYU....
